There was once a young princess named Mary. She was a very nice girl who lived in a very big palace. One day, she asked her mother, Queen Isabelle, if she could play outside. So, with her mother’s permission, she hopped outside.
While she was playing, she noticed a pretty girl dancing around the road with torn clothes. She walked toward the girl and said, “Hello! I’m Princess Mary. What is your name?” The young dancer said, “Hi. My name’s Julie. I’m a ballerina.”
The princess said, “Julie-that’s an-interesting name. So Julie, we should meet sometime soon. The ballerina answered, “Sure. We will meet tomorrow at Butterer’s Hill.” Mary replied, “Yes, Indeed.”
The next day, Mary asked her mother to go to meet her friend. Her mother asked her, “Who is this friend of yours?” Mary thought fast. She said, “Er-she lives across the street. She is a school friend.” Queen Isabelle said, “What is her name?” Mary said, “Umm… Victoria.”
Mary felt guilt rise up inside of her. Her mother said, “Fine.” Mary rushed to Butterer’s Hill. She finally found Julie. The princess said, “Where were you? I have been searching the whole place for you.” Julie said, “Oh. Well, I am sorry for that. Anyway, can I come to your palace today?” Mary said, “I-You see-Umm…-Fine.”
They both rushed to the palace as fast as they could. When they were at the front entrance, Mary said, “O.K. You stay here and when I give you the que, follow me.

With that, Mary entered the royal palace. The maid said, “Good Afternoon, Your Highness. Would you like a cup of tea?” Mary said, “No thanks. Maybe later.”
When the maid left, Mary whispered, “Now!” She and Julie rushed to her room but people kept coming in so Julie had to leave.
A few months later, they had found the kitchen to talk to each other. They were now best friends. That day, the royal maid caught the princess with the ballerina and rushed to the king.
She told the king that Mary had to say something. The king said, “MARY!” The princess rushed to her father. He said, “Do you have something to tell me?” The princess said, “Yes. I have a friend who is a ballerina but she is not that rich and her name is Julie.”
The king gasped along with everyone else. He said, “Mary dear, since you have been honest with me, you can play with Juliana.” Mary said, “Oh, thank you so much father for letting me play with Julie!”
The princess and the ballerina were friends forever and they always lived happily ever after.
